Kristie Phillips began her career with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections as Probation and Parole Officer with District Eight, now known as Jeffery M. McCoy Central District Community Corrections, in January 1998. She promoted to Probation and Parole Officer III (Team Supervisor) in November 2001 and, after slightly more than three years in that position, she was selected to assume the role of Assistant District Supervisor in April 2005.
