Membership

Membership in the Oklahoma Correctional Association is a dual membership - in both the OCA and the American Correctional Association.

OCA / ACA membership has many levels suited for your desired level of involvement. Membership is open to all individuals and organizations actively working in the corrections profession. There are four individual and two organizational categories.

Publications
Publications which cover a wide range of correctional topics and focus on current issues in today's rapidly changing correctional environment - Corrections Today, On the Line, and the OCA Communicator. Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance. Policies provided through Hartford Insurance Company at no charge to members. Benefit amounts based on membership category.

National Workshops
ACA offers member rates at the Congress of Correction and Winter Conference held at choice locations across the nation.

It is the mission of the OCA to provide its membership with the educational benefits of national and state conferences and workshops as well as exposure to fellowship and networking opportunities with other professionals in all aspects of the criminal justice profession.

State Conferences
OCA offers opportunities to network with peers at annual conferences held at prominent Oklahoma locations. State conferences provide a mechanism for a meaningful exchange of information between the disciplines of the criminal justice system and an opportunity to relax, enjoy, and learn.

Scholarships
ACA/OCA awards annual scholarships to selected members to encourage and support continuing education.


Associate

Full-time students not currently working within the field of corrections, retired professionals, volunteers, and interested citizens (subject to verification). Includes subscription to Corrections Today, On the Line, and The Communicator, 20 percent discount on over 145 ACA publications; 20 percent discount on correspondence courses; and member rates to ACA's Congress of Correction and Winter Conference.
Fees: $15 annually

Professional

For Corrections professionals working in criminal justice or related fields.  One-year subscription to Corrections Today magazine and On the Line.   $6,,000 Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D), 20 percent discount on all ACA publications and correspondence courses, voting privileges in ACA elections, and member rates to ACA’s Congress of Correction and Winter Conference.
Fees: $35 annually, $99 for three years, $55 household

Professional II

All benefits of Professional 1; $10,000 accidental death and dismemberment insurance policy; and complimentary copy of Directory of Juvenile and Adult Correctional Departments, Institutions, Agencies, and Paroling Authorities. Organizational membership plans and household discounts are also available.
Fees: $75 annually, $215 for three years, $115 household

Executive Gold

All benefits of Professional I plus $15,000 ADA&D insurance, a complimentary copy of the Directory of Juvenile and Adult Corrections Departments, Institutions, Agencies and Paroling Authorities; and the National Jail and Adult Detention Directory (a $135 value), voting privileges in ACA/OCA elections, and an additional 10% conference discount.
Fees:  $100 annually, $290 for three years, $150 household
